Next weekend the 2019 Sharing God’s Blessings Annual Appeal, “Serving God’s People," will begin throughout the Archdiocese of Newark. Each year, the Annual Appeal provides valuable resources to parishes and schools in need, helps the poor with food, shelter and clothing, supports many pastoral ministries, funds three Archdiocesan seminaries and makes housing and medical care possible for retired priests. The Appeal reminds us that we are one with all the other parishes of our Archdiocese throughout Essex, Bergen, Hudson, and Union counties and gives us a chance to work together for God's people by sharing our God-given gifts.

The Church is called the People of God. It is more than just a building, but rather, a gathering of baptized men, women and children who have chosen Jesus Christ and a way of life that reflects the Good News of His teaching.

This website has been designed to make you aware of the ministries and organizations of many wonderful people in the Ascension Parish Family who believe Jesus is first in their lives. These good people make faith and love real in the life of the parish.

I invite and encourage you to read and reflect on the good works reflected in the pages that follow.  God is calling you to make a commitment to Jesus by becoming an active participant in the ministry and organization of your choice. Our parish family needs YOU!

Again, welcome to our parish. May God bless you.

Sincerely in Christ,
Rev. David W. Milliken
