Altar Servers
These young men and young women of our parish are trained to assist the priests at Sunday Masses. They are assigned to serve on a rotating basis. A schedule of altar server assignments is issued on a monthly basis. Boys and girls from the fifth grade through high school who are interested in becoming altar servers are asked to contact one of the priests.
Eucharistic Ministers
This group of men and women assist the priests in the distribution of the Eucharist to parishioners at daily and Sunday Masses, to those confined in their homes, to Woodcrest enter, the nursing home in New Milford, and to area hospitals. Membership in this ministry is by the personal invitation of the pastor and mandate by the Archbishop. Eucharistic Ministers are trained in the parish. They should demonstrate a special devotion to the Eucharist and have a keen desire to foster fellowship to the extended members of our parish family.
Funeral Planning Guide
As Christians, we believe that death is a transition, not an end. We believe that Jesus rose from the dead. We believe that dying, He destroyed our death and that by rising, He restored our life. We are participants in the Resurrection, not spectators. This participation began with our Baptism and will continue through the transition of death. We believe in the Resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.
We invite you to not only participate in the planning of the Funeral Liturgy for your loved one but to also participate in it as actively as you can. Please review the liturgy as a family and decide if and how you will participate by completing the attached for and giving it to the Priest or Deacon at the Wake service or have the fimeral director fax it to us no later than the evening before the Funeral.

Music Ministry
Liturgies at Ascension are enhanced by a variety of music. Our 5:30pm Saturday Mass is led by an organist and leader of song. Our 9:30am and 11:30am Sunday Mass alternate and features either the Youth Choir, the Adult Choir and or an instrumental ensemble. Periodically, throughout the year, our parish Filipino Choir sings at Mass.
Liturgical music ministers, (singers, musicians, leaders of song) are always needed and welcomed. To volunteer, please contact the Director of Music, Glenn Gordon. Join us...as a member of one of our choirs. All parish children grades 1-12 are welcome. Our Youth Choir sings at the 9:30am Mass two times a month. Rehearsal for Adult Choir is on Thursdays at 7:30pm and our Youth Choir is on Saturdays at 4:15pm.
